World-renowned ink painter Fujyo Kato, who specializes in a type of landscape painting known as bunjinga (“scholar-painting”), which flourished in Edo-period Japan, will be holding a presentation at the Zen Center of Pittsburgh.
Mr. Kato will do a brief demonstration of the history of bunjinga, show examples of his artwork, and review basic techniques.
Guests will also be able to partake in sencha tea ceremony while they watch the demonstration.
